Bursaria Fine Foods is a function and event catering company that includes a corporate catering division, a special events division and the café/food store 'cafe Bursaria' located within the grounds of beautiful Como Historic House and Garden. The Company is now in its 4th successful trading year and has developed a client and industry reputation as a leader in quality food and service.

Corporate catering Experience

Bursaria Fine Foods caters to over 20 function venues in greater Melbourne. In addition, our corporate catering division services many of Australia's leading companies including Austereo, Nike Australia, ANZ Bank, City of Stonnington, NAB, Liberation Music, Swatch Group, and Australian Institute of Forensic Medicine. All deliveries are made in our food safety accredited refrigerated transport.

Special events Experience

Bursaria Fine Foods is a boutique catering company that is able to tailor a complete food and beverage solution for any function or event. The Company is structured to provide key management to oversee all major functions and events and to work alongside the client ensuring that their expectations are met if not exceeded. This also provides for an easy and fast decision making process to enable all matters to be dealt with a minimum of fuss.

Major events Experience

Bursaria Fine Foods also provides services for select clients at Melbourne's major public events including Spring Racing Carnival, Melbourne Grand Prix, Melbourne Writers Festival, Melbourne food and Wine Festival, Loriel Fashion Week and Australia Day Festival.

Café Bursaria

Enjoy selections from our changing fresh produce seasonal menus in the sublime ambience of beautiful Como Historic House and Garden in the heart of Melbourne. The cafe/food store is an oasis of easy relaxation in a busy city. Our head chef strives for quality, flavour and simplicity.

Sara Pratt
General Manager

Sara is a qualified chef and has worked in the catering and events industry in excess of 18 years. This depth of experience provides her with the ability to advise clients in detail of current food trends and the varied choices available leading to successful, event food solutions. Sara's training was founded on European techniques with experience working in 5 stars hotels, a number of Melbourne's leading restaurants and five years working as a chef in Europe.

Sara further developed her skills in the hospitality industry focusing on Sales and Marketing, working for a leading Melbourne based catering company for five years followed by a three year experience with the largest banqueting venue in Australia.

Sara's passion and excitement is food and hospitality. Her goals are simple. Use the freshest seasonal produce and create the best quality food dishes with love and care.

The result is Bursaria Fine Foods.
